The Smart Reader fits onto any mechanical meter in 2 minutes. The easiest would be to plug into municipal meter, no plumbing, no disruption. Unfortunately, the municipality won't allow us to use their meter. 
The ideal spot is on your own meter in a separate, above-ground meter box on your property as close to the boundary as possible . It reads your meter hourly and sends the data to the platform.
